Multiple States Sign Petitions To Secede The United States
The 2012 Election isn't sitting well with many Red States, and petitions have been started, and signed asking to break away from the United States. According to the Daily Caller, Texas is looking for a 'peaceful seperation' from the United States. They aren't the only ones either. Wyoming is also calling for a split, along with 30 other states, including Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Utah, New Jersey, New York and others.
It's all part of the 'We The People' program on the White House website. It allows people to create, and sign petitions for a cause. If the petition gets over 25,000 signatures, it requires official White House review. So far the petition from Texas has over 28,000 signatures. Most of the others are still far below that mark.
