MANSFIELD (WBSM) — Mansfield Police announced the arrest of a Middleboro man for allegedly recording beneath a child’s skirt at the Xfinity Center last Friday.

Details of the Xfinity Center Incident

According to Mansfield Police Chief Ronald Sellon, officers working at the Xfinity Center on Friday, June 19, were notified by venue security at about 6:09 p.m. that a man had reportedly been using a cell phone to record beneath a 13-year-old girl’s skirt.

Security personnel were alerted by a witness, and the victim and her family met with Mansfield Police on the scene.

Suspect Identified and Charged

The investigation led police to identify Brandon Cora, 27, of Middleboro as the suspect. He was arrested and taken to Mansfield Police headquarters for booking and is expected to be arraigned today in Attleboro District Court on a charge of photographing sexual or intimate parts of a child.

Mansfield Police Chief Praises Quick Witness Response

"I want to commend the witness who promptly reported what she observed, as well as the victim's family and the on-site security personnel who took action and immediately notified police," Chief Sellon said. "Their response allowed officers to quickly intervene, secure evidence and begin a thorough investigation into these serious allegations.”

“We take incidents like this extremely seriously and will always work to protect our children from abuse and exploitation,” Sellon said. “This kind of invasive and disturbing behavior has no place in our society."
