Dartmouth has a new select board member after Tuesday's election.

Stanley Mickelson beat David Faria by over 700 votes. The planning board member is new to the political scene, but is ready to serve the town...

Mickelson will be filling the seat left open by incumbent William Trimble.

In the race for school committee, Christopher Garth and Carol Karafotis defeated incumbent Dr. Jonathan Schwartz and UMass professor Shannon Jenkins.

Finally on the only ballot question, voters chose to give the select board greater authority. Any changes to the town government structure must be approved by town meeting.
