Melania: A First Class First Lady [OPINION]

Regardless of what you think of President Donald Trump, you've got to admit that his wife Melania is one first-class First Lady. We've had some First Ladies over the years that were real doozies. Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama come to mind. Melania seems to be in a league of her own.

Melania Trump never upstages the president. She understands her role as a non-elected official and exceeds the demands and the expectations placed upon her in the unpaid position of the president's wife. Unlike Clinton and Obama, Melania is able to operate comfortably in the shadows and doesn't yearn for attention and the glow of the spotlight. She has her opinions but doesn't feel compelled to share them with the world. It's not her function.

Melania Trump combines the grace and style of Jackie Kennedy. She has the intelligence, compassion, and sensitivity of Laura Bush. And make no mistake about it, Melania Trump is every bit as loyal to her husband as Nancy Reagan.

A devoted and protective mother to her son, Melania Trump is a beloved First Lady who I suspect will continue to grow in her role as the years unfold.

Keep up the good work, Melania. You represent your adopted nation with dignity and class and make Americans proud to have you as their First Lady.
