Attention Patriots fans:  Super Bowl Champion Rodney Harrison is coming to Swansea.

On April 24, sports commentator and former New England Patriots defensive back Rodney Harrison is coming to the SouthCoast to help raise money for UMass Dartmouth scholarships.

This dinner and meet-and-greet are to bring attention to the Center for Marketing Research, which helps students at UMass by awarding scholarships regularly.

Hosted at Venus de Milo in Swansea, tickets cost $125 a piece or $1250 for a table of 10.

According to the official page on UMass Dartmouth's website, "Rodney Harrison is a two-time Pro Bowl selection and winner of two Super Bowl rings. During his career, Harrison set and still holds the record for sacks by a defensive back, as well as becoming the first NFL player with 30 sacks and 30 interceptions. He currently serves as a commentator for Sunday Night Football on NBC."

At the event, Harrison will be doing a Q and A session and sharing insight on his time in the NFL and his life story. In addition, Harrison will be signing autographs on photographs that will be made available to purchase at the event.

In recent years, the annual event has hosted celebrities such as astronaut Alan Bean, Red Sox catcher Carlton Fisk, Red Sox pitcher Dennis Eckersley and Patriots Hall of Famer Ty Law. At last year's event, Red Sox great David "Big Papi" Ortiz was the celebrity guest.

You can purchase tickets to attend the event or donate a scholarship by emailing Ava Lescault at the Center for Marketing Research at, or you can purchase them by calling her at (508) 910-6435.
