Man Stabbed In Downtown Club, Suspect Arrested
New Bedford Police make an arrest follwng a stabbing early Sunday in a Downtown club. Police were called to Club 908 around 1:30am and found a 21 year old New Bedford man who had been stabbed several times. Detective Sgt. Victor Mendes tells WBSM News, the victim suffered two stab wounds to the chest and one to his hand, and was slashed across the face. The man was transported to Rhode Island Hospital and is listed in serious condition. According to Police, he is expected to survive. About four hours later, Police arrested 33 year old Chad Dargis during a traffic stop. He'll be arraigned Monday in District Court on chages of assault with intent to murder, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon
