Man Arrested After Allegedly Firing Gun in Onset Neighborhood
WAREHAM — A Middleborough man has been arrested after an alleged shooting in Onset.
Wareham Police responded to a report of a shooting on Sunday at about 10:15 p.m. in the area of West Boulevard in Onset. During the investigation, police learned there had been an altercation involving several people with one of them firing a gun from a dark colored vehicle before fleeing the scene.
Police were able to identify the alleged shooter, and found a spent cartridge near the corner of Eighth Street and West Boulevard.
No injuries were reported.
Officers with the Wareham Police Department arrived at the suspect's home in Middleborough along with Middleborough Police officers. At the home, police arrested Zachary Blondheim, 21, of Middleborough.
Blondheim was transported to Wareham Police headquarters and held on $10,000 bail.
Blondheim is being arraigned Monday on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, and possession of ammunition without an FID card.
