LAKEVILLE (WBSM) — Fire and EMS crews from multiple towns responded to a crash in Lakeville Sunday afternoon that sent three people to the hospital.

According to a Lakeville Fire Department Facebook post, the crash occurred near the intersection of County Street and Freetown Street. Firefighters were dispatched to the scene just before 1:30 p.m. on April 21.

“At the time of the crash, three of the four on-duty firefighters were committing to a prior medical emergency in Ambulance 3,” the department posted. “A recall was transmitted for supplemental staffing, allowing Ambulance 2, Engine 1, and Car 2 to respond.”

Two mutual aid ambulances were dispatched from nearby communities to assist.

The fire department said three people were transported to the hospital by ambulances from the Lakeville Fire Department, Freetown Fire Department and Berkley Fire and Rescue.

There was no information provided about the condition of the patients or a potential cause of the crash.
