Marine and Newton City Councilor Jake Auchincloss won a difficult 10-way Democratic primary in the 4th Congressional District in no small part due to his focus on building partnerships with community leaders and constituents on the SouthCoast.

As I’ve covered previously, Auchincloss has a comprehensive understanding of the SouthCoast regional economy and its position as an industry leader in fishing. He also understands the Commonwealth’s dire need of a transportation overhaul, having worked on the issue as a senior manager at Liberty Mutual’s innovation lab.

I had interviewed and profiled Councilor Auchincloss earlier this year and had the pleasure of having him on-air again as we discussed these topics.
