Impeachment talk is all the rage in Washington these days among Democrats in Congress and their not-ready-for-prime-time cohorts on cable network news programs. Problem is, most Americans have no appetite for any of this silliness.

The inmates have taken over the asylum and the media has dissolved into gossip and rumor-mongering. It's a tabloid world. That can be entertaining for a while, but then the reality sets in that while all of the theatrics are occurring, nothing is getting done.

Sure, Omar, Tlaib, Maxine, and AOC are good for a chuckle or two, but who is taking care of health care? There are hundreds of thousands of migrants pouring over the southern border which remains wide open. What about the kids killing each other with guns in Chicago and Detroit? Why are tens of thousands of people dying still from drug addiction? We don't know because the news is full of gossip.

The American people need to be keeping a scorecard. Who is focusing on the issues important to the security of this nation? Who is grandstanding and still trying to settle a political score? We need wholesale changes in Congress and we need term limits to make our elected officials more accountable and productive.

You want to shift the attention in Washington away from investigations, name calling, and gridlock? Speak up. Be heard. Write letters. Make phone calls. Call talk radio and post on social media.

The people rose up in 2016 and elected Donald Trump. The message was apparently not loud enough or clear enough for everyone to hear. Its time we raise the roof a little higher and tell our employees under the dome that we have had enough.

Let's raise some hell, people. Let's make some noise.
