Illegal Immigrants Eligible For In-State Tuition

Some Massachusetts residents brought to the country illegally as children will soon be eligible to pay in-state tuition.  Governor Deval Patrick will inform Higher Education Commissioner Richard Freeland of the new policy today.  The decision is based upon President Obama's executive order this summer that grants deferred deportation status to certain young immigrants.
