Description:

Bay State Community Services, is looking for a team of volunteers that can help improve the lives of teens living in group homes on the South Shore. We are looking to create a team that can help us fill some holes in what we can provide to the kids.

We house 42 kids twenty-four hours per day seven days a week. We work hard to create a warm, homey, and welcoming environment for our kids who are dealing with many challenges.  We are able to feed and shelter them, make sure they are safe and have a great staff to work with them, but it is harder to provide them with the extras that make all the difference when you are a teenager.

Due to the nature of our programs, this wouldn’t be an on-site volunteer program where you come to the houses. Most of this work would be done behind the scenes. In the beginning, volunteer team guidance and training on how to connect with businesses and individuals in your community that might be able to donate items to the kids will be provided.
