You do not need to travel very far for a spectacular display of Christmas lights. The 6th Annual Middleborough Festival of Lights is back again this season and will run on two consecutive weekends to bring get your family in the Christmas spirit.

*UPDATE: The festival has been CANCELED for December 14 and 15 due to weather. It has been rescheduled to December 28 and 29.

The display will be visible from 4 to 9 pm each day. Just five dollars per carload, you can "drive through acres decorated with over 500,000 lights then stop at Christmas Village where you can purchase cocoa and cookies for a dollar each or buy handmade authentic Middleborough ornaments."

Get your professional photo taken with Santa or the Grinch for a small donation of five dollars, stroll through the village while listening to Christmas music, and stop by to see the alpacas. Each cabin is decorated with a theme for a contest, and you can vote for your favorite.

My fiancé's family is from Middleborough and I remember driving through the grounds the very first Christmas we spent together. It really is wicked cute to see all the lights and meet new people in the community.
