Bringing an animal home for the first time is a special experience, and trying to find the perfect pet can be stressful, but I'm here to tell you that you should start at the shelters.

The SouthCoast is lucky to have several shelters in the area, housing adorable animals that are anxious to find their forever homes.

Every Wednesday, Fun 107 dedicates the day to one lucky animal on the SouthCoast that is up for adoption in hopes of finding their perfect family. On this week's Wet Nose Wednesday, we head to Fall River to meet a puppy that is full of life.

Brinx is a 5-month-old American Pit Bull Terrier and a ball of energy.

"Don't be fooled by her floppy ears and baby eyes. She's a high-energy gal with lots of it to spare, especially being at a young age," the shelter said.

While her energy levels could use some work, Brinx is a sweet girl that loves to play with humans and other dogs, go for walks, and steal the hearts of everyone she meets.

She's only 5 months old, so her puppy behavior will need to be reigned in.

"She'll need training and to go to an owned home," said the shelter.

Brinx's future family will have to own their home and have children that are at least 12 years old.

If SouthCoast Dogs Had a Dating App, It Would Look Something Like This

August 26 is International Dog Day, and it got me thinking. What if there was a way for dogs to connect with other dogs in the area to make new friends? Or maybe even find love? Twenty-six dogs living on the SouthCoast sent me their profile picture and bio. Let's see the eligible pups.
