Fall River Man Sentenced for Ghost Gun and Cocaine Charges
PROVIDENCE (WBSM) — A Fall River man has been sentenced to serve seven years at the Adult Correctional Institutions (ACI) for possessing a ghost gun, a large-capacity magazine and cocaine.
David Stuart, 33, pleaded guilty to possession with the intent to distribute cocaine, possession of a ghost gun, possession of a firearm by a fugitive from justice, and possession of a large capacity magazine.
In March of 2023, members of the Massachusetts Violent Fugitive Apprehension Sections (VFAS) and the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force were assigned to locate Stuart. They believed he was staying at a residence on Old River Road in Lincoln.
Investigators conducted surveillance on March 6, where they observed Stuart exit the Lincoln residence and drive off in a blue Kia.
A traffic stop was conducted in which Stuart was taken into custody without incident. Two baggies of crack cocaine were seized from Stuart's possession.
After a search of Stuart's Lincoln residence on Old River Road, a .40 caliber semi-automatic ghost gun, a large capacity magazine, and $2,600 in cash were also seized by investigators.
Stuart is sentenced to serve an additional five years for possession of a large-capacity magazine, the maximum penalty for that crime.
