A Fall Rver man is being held on $12,500 cash bail after he allegedly robbed a gas station on Monday, telling the clerk he had a bomb.

The man walked into a Hess service station on Pleasant Street, carrying a package.  Police say he placed it on the counter, and told the clerk..."it's a bomb."

The man then pulled out a remote control and demanded money. He got away with about $240, and left the package behind.

According to the Herald News, police later arrested 50 year old Robert Chase at his home in Fall River.  After being arrested, Chase complained of chest pains and was taken to Charlton Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The State Police Bomb Squad was called to investigate the package.  Police used a robot to determine it was not an explosive.
