The Lakeville Lions Club will continue its beloved tradition of hosting its annual Fall Family Festival on Saturday, Sept. 16.

For its seventh year, the Lions Club will pull out all of the stops to usher in the fall season and bring the community together for a fun-filled day. It's truly a team effort with many club members helping to put on the best festival year after year.

“It’s truly a family festival because it’s all about providing something for the town and for the kids,” said Steve Howe, co-chairman of the festival. “The Lions are all about giving back.”

Howe has been a part of the festival-planning process for the past three years and every year, he looks forward to seeing families flock to the Lions clubhouse.

“I love seeing the community, the people that come and the amount of enjoyment they have,” he said. “I just like the idea that it’s more about giving back to the community by creating this communal event.”

With around 3,000 people in attendance last year, Howe admits that the festival may be outgrowing its current site on Main Street. It’s a great sign that this beloved festival could get even bigger in the future, but for its seventh year, the festival will continue to take place at the Lions Clubhouse.

What to Expect at the Lakeville Fall Family Festival

Free to attend and fun for all ages, the Lakeville Fall Family Festival will have over 30 craft vendors, a dunk tank, face painting, a small animal area, a free bounce house, and games.

“We have a full outdoor kitchen where we serve food and people come from all around for our pulled pork sandwiches,” said Howe.

Berkeley Beer Company will be on-site serving up craft beer and there will be a DJ and live music to keep the party going.

Howe is excited to also incorporate a hay ride for the first time that will be available for kids in the field across the street, and the team has added strawberry shortcake to the dessert menu.

From good food and fun entertainment to exciting vendors and live music, the 7th Annual Lakeville Fall Family Festival is shaping up to be the perfect welcoming party for Fall.
