Fairhaven Van Fire

Fairhaven firefighters were called to Welcome Street Thursday night shortly before 8 to battle a van fire. The van was parked next to a residence at 1 Welcome St. and the van was destroyed by the fire.  Fairhaven Fire Department spokesman Wayne Oliveira says that the burning Chevrolet Astro was parked near the Welcome St. residence.  Firefighters were able to keep it from spreading to the adjacent property. The cause  is under investigation and no injuries were reported.
