Elderly Man Injured in Wareham Crash

WAREHAM — While Wareham police and fire EMS from the town were assisting state police at the scene of a serious crash on I-495 in Middleboro, another accident happened in Wareham,

Shortly after 10 a.m. on Thursday, officers were called to the scene of a crash at Swifts beach Road and Marion Road. They found a pole snapped of, and a vehicle on its side.

The driver, a man, 75, of Wareham was trapped in the car. Onset Fire personnel were covered in to assist. They freed the man from the vehicle and he was taken to Tobey Hospital.

The name of the driver and his condition has not been released at this time.
