East Providence Man Arrested after Wareham and Connecticut Bank Robberies

An East Providence man is arrested in connection with a bank robbery in Wareham.

Wareham Police say the Citizens Bank branch in the Wareham Stop and Shop was robbed Wednesday.

The investigation included contact with the FBI and Milford, Connecticut police who were investigating a bank robbery that occurred in August.

As a result of the investigation, police arrested 37-year-old Robert Chadronet at his East Providence home Friday morning. Chadronet was charged with the Connecticut bank robbery and being a fugitive from justice. Charges related to the Wareham bank robbery are pending.

Chadronet is being held by East Providence Police, pending extradition in connection to both bank robberies.
