Smokers who use electronic cigarettes are 60-percent more likely to quit than those who use patches, gum, or just willpower.  That's what a five-year study of nearly six-thousand smokers found.  Researchers in Britain say the study suggests that e-cigarettes could play an important role in cutting down smoking and tobacco-related illnesses and deaths.

The study is published in the journal "Addiction."
