Facing widespread criticism and a looming boycott, an Oxford, Massachusetts diner owner is apologizing to the veteran he kicked out of his restaurant last weekend.

Russell Ireland tells WCVB that he didn't know how important the service dog belonging to Air Force veteran James Glaser was to the vet's well-being.  Ireland complained earlier this week that the Jack Russell terrier belonging to Glaser was a "fake" service dog because he helped the veteran with his PTSD.

Ireland says he has been educated in the last few days, and now realizes how poorly he acted.  In publicly apologizing to Glaser, Ireland said he hoped the veteran would call for an end to the harassing phone calls and threats that have flooded into the restaurant.
