
Dighton Police Charge Two with Larceny
Dighton Police have charged a man and woman with stealing scrap metal from a local business.
Chief Robert MacDonald tells WBSM News the pair was arrested early Friday following an alleged burglary at a Dighton business.
Police responded to Zeke's Custom Wheels on Winthrop Street around 4 a.m. after receiving reports of suspicious activity there.
Officers found a pickup truck at the rear of the building loaded with scrap metal and other items.
Following an investigation, police arrested 40-year old Justin Belliveau and 27-year old Rachael Martin, both of North Dighton. They're facing charges of larceny, trespassing, and possession of dangerous weapons.
Police also found a double-edged knife and samurai-type sword in their possession. The suspects were arraigned Friday in Taunton District Court.
