Dartmouth Police Arrest Man on Multiple Drug Charges
DARTMOUTH (WBSM) — Dartmouth Police arrested a man who had previously faced drug charges on multiple new drug charges after executing a search warrant at a residence on Cove Road.
According to police, the warrant was executed at about 4 p.m. on Thursday, March 21 by members of the Dartmouth Police Investigative Services Division along with Massachusetts State Troopers assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force.
Police said the search turned about about 30 grams of suspected cocaine, about three grams of suspected crack cocaine, about five grams of suspected fentanyl, and 10 suboxone strips.
Also seized was $955 in cash as well as drug paraphernalia.
Police arrested Daarnez Ramos, 27, and charged him with trafficking cocaine, possession of a Class A drug, possession to distribute cocaine (subsequent offense), and possession to distribute a Class B drug (subsequent offense).
Ramos also had an outstanding arrest warrant.
“As a result of their hard work and dedication, my detectives were not only able to remove this dangerous individual from the community, but also the dangerous and possibly life-threatening drugs that he was peddling,” said Dartmouth Police Chief Brian P. Levesque.
