Dartmouth Police Arrest Nevada Man in Stolen Vehicle Case
DARTMOUTH (WBSM) — A Nevada man was arrested and faces multiple charges after allegedly being in possession of a stolen vehicle at a Dartmouth motel.
According to Dartmouth Police, officers located a stolen Toyota SUV at 4:33 a.m. on December 23 in the parking lot of the Best Western Dartmouth-New Bedford at 737 State Road.
Detectives assigned to the Community Impact Unit were monitoring the vehicle and were said to have observed a man later identified as Blake Dickens, 39, of Las Vegas, Nevada enter the vehicle and start it with a key.
Dickens was ordered by police to turn the vehicle off and he was taken into custody.
Dickens is charged with receiving a stolen motor vehicle, two counts of uttering and possession of a false/stolen registry document, and possession of a Class E drug.
