A young Dartmouth man is arrested after a reported car break.

Dartmouth Police say Officer Justin Amaral was responding to the reported car break early Monday afternoon on Slocum Road when he saw a man riding a bike in close proximity to where the call had originated from.

While Officer Amaral spoke with the man on the bike, another man arrived on the scene and told Officer Amaral that the man on the bike had just broken into his vehicle and stolen his wallet. A brief investigation revealed the stolen property was in the possession of the man on the bike.

Officer Amaral arrested the man, 21-year-old Michael Daly of Dartmouth, and charged him with breaking and entering into a vehicle during the daytime for a felony, larceny of a credit card, and larceny under $250.
