Dartmouth Kohl’s No Longer Accepting Amazon Returns
The marriage between Kohl's and retail delivery giant Amazon appears on the rocks.
Kohl's stores in several states will no longer accept Amazon returns. The sad news is this includes the Kohl's store in North Dartmouth, Massachusetts.
Local store officials confirmed the news to me over the weekend.

During a recent visit to the North Dartmouth store, the area where Amazon and Kohl's return transactions were made was hidden behind a mountain of boxes.
Modern Retail says, "Previously, Kohl's accepted Amazon returns at all 1,100 store locations in the U.S. except Anchorage, Alaska." The publication says a company official suggested the policy change may be a temporary test, at least for some stores.
Kohl's announced its partnership with Amazon in April 2019 hoping it would help drive business into the struggling retail store chain.
Taking returns helped Amazon by providing customers with a convenient location to drop off unwanted items for returns, it reportedly tied up store employees and did little to help Kohl's sagging sales.
Amazon customers in the Greater New Bedford area can still make returns at UPS Drop Box locations in New Bedford and Dartmouth and the Amazon Locker located in the North Dartmouth Mall.
The Staples in Fairhaven also accepts Amazon returns. So there are plenty of alternatives to Kohl's if you need to return that something to sender.
KDKA-TV CBS News in Pittsburgh reports, "KHOL's financials show that sales have gone down for the past twelve quarters. Could that be the reason for the test? Kohl's doesn't say."
