DARTMOUTH (WBSM) — Two people were killed in a single-vehicle crash this afternoon on Interstate 195 in Dartmouth.

Crash Occurred Near Reed Road Exit

According to Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III, Massachusetts State Police responded at about 1:35 p.m. to mile marker 19.4 near the Reed Road exit of I-195 westbound for multiple 911 calls.

Victims Ejected, Engine Dislodged

State troopers arrived to find that a gray 2006 Chevy Equinox had crashed, dislodging the vehicle’s engine. Both occupants of the vehicle were ejected. The two males were taken to a local hospital, where they were both pronounced deceased a short time later.

Their identities were not released and no further information about the crash was provided.

State Police Leading Investigation

The crash remains under investigation by Massachusetts State Police along with troopers assigned to the D.A.’s Office.
