Cubs, Red Sox Pegged As Best Bets To Win 2017 World Series

The odds makers have spoken and it appears that the Chicago Cubs and Boston Red Sox are considered the front runners to win the World Series in 2017.

According to a CBSSports.com report, the Bovoda.lv odds have been released and both the Cubs and Red Sox sit atop the competition with the best odds to win it all this season.

Both Chicago and Boston are slotted at 9/2 odds of taking home the trophy this year.

While Boston enters the season boating one of the top rotations in the game, they did get swept by the AL pennant winners, the Cleveland Indians, in the divisional round last season. They also don't have a wealth of experience or success in the postseason.

On the other hand, the Cubs are coming off of their first World Championship in 108 years, after coming back from three games to one down to win the title in a thrilling seventh game.

Of course, we'll have to see how the season plays out, but for now the Sox and Cubs have the best odds to bring home the crown in 2017.
