Crash On Route 24 Leaves 1 Dead, 3 Injured

State police are investigating an early Friday morning crash on Route 24 north that left one person dead and three others injured.

State police say a Saab and a Dodge Durango collided on the northbound near Exit 11 in Berkley around 1:40 a.m.

The impact caused the Saab to roll over and burst into flames.

The Saab's driver, 27-year-old Dylan Storch of Middleboro, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Durango's driver, 23-year-old Danne Picot of Lynn, and two other passengers in the Durango, were taken to Rhode Island Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The roadway was shut down as crews investigated at the scene but reopened just before 5:30 a.m.
