A neo-Nazi convicted killer is dead after a suspected suicide in the Shirley prison. Department of Corrections officials say Keith Luke was found unresponsive in his cell Saturday afternoon. The former Brockton resident was serving two life sentences for murder and 210 years for rape, kidnapping and other offenses.

Officials say he was hospitalized in 2010 after a self inflicted throat wound they say was a failed suicide attempt. He was convicted last year for a racially-motivated incident where he was accused of barging into his neighbor's home and repeatedly raping and shooting her.

Police say he killed the woman's sister who tried to stop the assault, killed an elderly homeless man, and shot at a fleeing Brockton police officer.
