
Cocaine, Suboxone, and Nearly $10K Cash Seized by New Bedford Police
NEW BEDFORD - A small amount of drugs and nearly $10,000 in cash is seized by New Bedford Police.
Officers with the Narcotics Division carried out a search warrant Wednesday night at an apartment at 70 Ruth Street in the South End after an investigation into a cocaine distribution service being run out of the home.
In the apartment, police found a small amount of cocaine, a suboxone strip, a digital scale, packaging materials, cutting agents, and $9,570 in cash.
Police arrested the occupant of the apartment, 28-year-old Harvarious Williams, and charged him with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute (Subsequent offense), and possession of a class b substance (Suboxone).
Williams was previously convicting in July of 2013 on a charge of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.
