Celebrate North End Restaurant Week [Townsquare Sunday]

This weekend kicks off the North End Restaurant Week in New Bedford.

Organizers call it a celebration of the culinary culture in the city. Those restaurants and bakeries participating will offer special deals, signature dishes, and creative cuisine.

Restaurant Week kicks off Saturday, Sept. 21, at 12:30 p.m. at Adriana's Mexican Restaurant, 1262 Acushnet Avenue, featuring the SouthCoast Brass Band. Restaurant Week will continue through Saturday, Sept. 28, and the entire SouthCoast region is invited to "Think Global" but "Eat Local" in the North End this coming week.

The owner of Adriana's, Martha Gonzalez, joins Jim Phillips on Townsquare Sunday to discuss Restaurant Week, and this year's "I Love The Ave" campaign.
