Health officials in Dartmouth have shut down the Capri Motel on Route six after management failed to address a series of health issues.  Wendy Henderson, the town's Director of Public Health says an inspection of the motel's unoccupied rooms last month turned up filthy conditions, broken carbon monoxide alarms, and windows and doors that could not be locked.

The Dartmouth Board of Health voted last Thursday to suspend the Capri's operating permit.  The motel must stop renting rooms and evict all tenants within 30 days  and the motel must pass a health inspection before it can reopen.
