Buzzards Bay Balloon Bouquet Found Free on Facebook
On today’s episode of “Odd Facebook Marketplace Finds,” I introduce to you the balloon bouquet for $Free.99.
Actually, it was a coworker who told me about this charming birthday party décor for a one-year-old’s bash, but it was so darn cute that I had to look into it.
The seller, Kay, made this for her son’s first birthday and claimed that she would hate to just throw it away.
“So, here’s a FREE balloon bouquet for a 1-year-old. Can easily peel off the name ‘George’ in the balloon," she wrote.
And here’s the craziest part. The pickup was in Bourne and I still reached out to see if it was available. This pandemic has made us all do weird things and find new ways to entertain ourselves. Somehow driving 30 minutes after work to pick up a free balloon bouquet didn’t seem like the craziest idea to me. Stuffing this thing in the back of my car was an interesting sight.
The thing is, my three-year-old nephew loves sharks – mostly thanks to "Baby Shark" – and balloons. So, Auntie just wanted to brighten the little guy’s day as the rain passed through and he was stuck playing inside.
It was the highlight of my entire day watching him play with the shark balloon with a pirate hat and hearing him sing his own version of Baby Shark for the occasion. “Baby Shark Pirate doo doo doo doo doo!”
He even asked me to help him run his very own balloon stand at home, with his mom and dad as loyal customers who paid with fake money. I miss having that kind of imagination. Thank you to Kay for helping us have a fun rainy day indoors.
