The Boston Bruins bumped their already strong road record up a notch today, as they picked up a 4-2 win over the Minnesota Wild this afternoon.

While the win moved Boston to an impressive 18-5-3 on the road this season, it notched an even more meaningful number for the team's head coach Claude Julien; his 500th career win.

The win pushed Julien into rear company, as he is now just the 23rd coach in NHL history to reach the 500 win plateau. It also put him into a tie for 22nd place on the all-time wins list.

When asked about the milestone victory, Julien stayed in the present but noted that one day it will be nice to reflect.

"When I'm done ... to look back and see what (I've) accomplished, that's probably a lot more fun than when you're in the middle of things."

He did go on to say that he's more worried about what he and the team have to continue to do to remain successful, rather than what has already happened.

Regardless of his personal feelings, the win puts Julien into an elite group. While things haven't always gone completely according to plan in his Boston tenure, Julien has been a top flight coach, a world champion and a strong leader. For that, and the win total, he should be revered in Boston.
