A cracked metal clamp belonging to Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Baily Circus has been turned over to federal investigators.  The clamp designed to hold performers failed on Sunday causing eight acrobats to fall as much as 40 feet to the floor of the Dunkin' Donuts Center.

All of the injured performers are expected to recover.  A circus spokesman says the act will not be included in upcoming performances elsewhere.
