Freetown Police are notifying motorists that repair work has begun on the historic stone bridge on South Main St. near Grandpa's Place.

The work is expected to last until Friday and will take place between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Only one lane will be open while work is ongoing.

Police say an alternative route would be on route 24 between exits 10 and 9.
