Bourne Police Officer Shot, Suspect In Custody
A Bourne Police officer has been shot and a male suspect is currently in custody.
Massachusetts State Police say they are on the scene at a Round House Road residential complex.
In addition to the officer, two other victims in a home also had violence committed against them in an incident reported around 2:15 a.m. Thursday.
The State Police Bomb Squad was also called to investigate items, that are suspected of being hoax devices, that were allegedly placed near the scene by the suspect.
A medical helicopter took off from the area headed for a Boston hospital.
The names and current conditions of the victims, including that of the officer, hasn't been released.
Bourne Police are asking people to avoid for the time being and nearby residents are being asked to stay in their homes until police advise them it is safe to leave.
