Bob Kraft, If You Read One Thing Today [OPINION]

Mr. Kraft!

Man, so late in the game, and now you have to face this epic humiliation and shame? New England Patriot's owner Robert Kraft was charged by Jupiter, Florida police for soliciting sex with a prostitute.

Now, before I rant a bit here, let me get this out of the way: what happened behind closed doors between two consenting adults is none of my business. In addition to that, I am not the moral police either. I have failed the very same God in other ways so I am not speaking from any high horse.

But what got Mr. Kraft caught was surveillance on the Orchids of Asia massage parlor. Florida and then federal authorities were investigating an international human/sex trafficking ring and that is my business. It's all of ours.

I am not suggesting that Kraft knew who the people are who benefit from, allegedly, his and other parties' guilt of paying these women for sex there. The people who ran this place, and hundreds of others like it, are real-life monsters.

Police have stated that they have Mr. Kraft paying the two women who gave him oral sex on surveillance tape.

Young (often Asian) women and girls (sometimes as young as 13) are scouted for overseas, usually in depressed areas, and when found worthy of the sinister agenda, they are approached and promised a better life in the west. In other words, attractive females are preyed upon by globally organized syndicates, such as the one being unveiled in this investigation.

They are promised entry to America (other nations are destinations as well). They are told that they will be given dignified work, that they can change jobs if they don't like the one provided and that a path to citizenship will be worked out on their behalf in exchange for their labor.

What actually happens for too many, is this: they are brought to a place such as Orchids of Asia. They are then told what they will really be doing, whether they want to or not. They will have sexual intercourse, provide oral sex or pleasure men to climax with their hands. Even sodomy is expected for the right price.

Without the overseers who monitor their every move outside of the massage rooms supporting their rejections, they will not turn down even the worst most disgusting, dirty men whose bodies smell like a toilet or worse.

They will suffer the scorn of frat boys who laugh at them and call them disgusting things even during the act, and they will do it or else. They are often threatened with physical abuse. They are almost as often victims of actual physical battery. They are reminded that if they don't comply with this disgusting existence, they will be executed and their families back home will be as well.

I hope to God Mr. Kraft was not fully aware of these kinds of hellish enterprises, but I have my suspicions as he is a captain of industry, an experienced international traveler and also a very smart man. He is also a man who has made a $100,000 donation to combat human trafficking in the past. That implies he was exposed to the relevant information.

At the end of the day, he contributed to financing the next wave of hopeful, attractive girls who are ensnared into this. His money, in even the smallest capacity, could have been sent back to that economically depressed place. A slum, or remote village in China, Thailand or Vietnam, Malaysia, Eastern Europe, Central America and elsewhere where a mother of an escapee's address has been provided to local thugs to harm her, beat her for information as to the girl's location. Or worse, because they have murdered entire families of some of these slaves who have testified, once under protection.

Mr. Kraft, I was a big fan until last week. Your corporate leadership over the New England Patriots has brought me a lot of joy. You can make this right. Your money is your money but I hope you can find it in your heart (and brain) to announce an enormous donation into combatting human and sex trafficking. You, sir, could personally provide some protections for these sex slaves and their families.

One hundred grand probably won't quite do it. Your call.

Very few in this world have the resources to make things right and make a real difference. You, however, are one of them.

And guys, for those of you who indulge? For you, it's a paid half hour or so for these young, hot, and exotic women to pretend they find you attractive and bring you to orgasm. For many thousands of them, you just paid more to the monsters who will keep them locked into this nightmare from which there is no awakening and little hope of escaping. You paid for the pleasure—and the lock to their cage.

These are someone's daughters, grandchildren or sisters. God willing, this will not happen to someone you love, but if anyone is deserving of such a fate...
