Multimedia political and cultural commentator Bill O'Reilly has a son who attends college in Rhode Island.

Spencer O'Reilly is a political science major at Newport's Salve Regina University, Class of 2025.

O'Reilly was born in 2003 in Manhasset, New York, described as "a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in Nassau County, on the North Shore of Long Island."

He has three siblings: Madeline O'Reilly, Bailey McBride and Riley McBride.

O'Reilly's parents, Bill O'Reilly and Maureen McPhilmy, divorced in 2011.

Spencer O'Reilly graduated from St. Mary's High School Class of 2021, where he played lacrosse. He is currently a member of the Salve Regina University Seahawks lacrosse team.

According to the Salve Regina University website, O'Reilly chose Salve Regina because it "offers incredible academics along with a unique athletic experience." He says Salve "allows me to grow as an athlete, student, and person in the beautiful City of Newport."

Oxford University accepted O'Reilly as a "Registered Visiting Student for Michaelmas Term 2023."

Salve Regina says, "O'Reilly is the first Pol Sci major at Salve to be awarded this prestigious opportunity." The designation provided O'Reilly "access to University lectures, libraries, and other facilities, as well as those at Blackfriars."

Upon graduation, O'Reilly would like to intern in Washington, D.C.

"I hope to work domestically in some sort of public service," he said. "My dad played football at Marist. I am an avid fisherman and outdoorsman!"

According to a university biography, O'Reilly also volunteered at the North Shore Animal Hospital in Manhasset as served as a Junior Firefighter.

Newport Mansions Seen in HBO's 'The Gilded Age'

"The Gilded Age" film crews have returned to Newport, Rhode Island, for several weeks of filming for the upcoming second season of HBO's hit show. Casting calls from March gave away the International Tennis Hall of Fame as a site for several scenes and, of course, several of the historic city's epic mansions are being used as well.
