The driver of the gas tanker that crashed at the Bourne Rotary on March 24 will be arraigned May 28.

Massachusetts State Police say 47-year-old Thomas Medeiros of Westport will be arraigned at Falmouth District Court on charges of Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle; Operating at a Speed Greater than Reasonable and Proper; and Failure to Stay Within Marked Lanes.

The late night crash caused roughly 5,000 gallons of fuel to spill onto the rotary.

The rotary and the Bourne Bridge were closed for several hours and lane closures on the both the bridge and rotary for many days afterward.

State Police say an investigation into the crash was conducted by the State Police Barracks in Bourne, with the assistance of the State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Section.
