Jodi Arias Found Guilty Of First-Degree Murder
An Arizona jury says Jodi Arias is guilty of first-degree murder in the brutal death of ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander.
Prosecutors accused Arias of stabbing him multiple times, shooting him and slashing his throat. She had claimed self defense.
Arias broke down in tears as the verdict was announced. Family members of Travis Alexander hugged each other after today's verdict.
The verdict was decided after jurors deliberated for a total of 15 hours over four days.
The death penalty phase begins Thursday in the Jodi Arias case in Arizona.
She was convicted on first-degree murder charges in the brutal killing of her ex-boyfriend.
The jurors must now decide whether or not she will be put to death.
