The Vice President-elect Mike Pence wanted to take a break from reality and take his family out to a Broadway show while in New York. He was in town working on the Trump cabinet with the President-elect. What he didn't count on was the cast stopping the show and castigating him for things he hasn't even done yet.

Actor Brandon Victor Dixon, a black gay man with AIDS, read from a hand held letter, which the cast collectively wrote, pleading for Pence and the administration to which he will belong, to protect all Americans and embrace the diverse body of the citizenry. But who on Earth from this forming administration said they won't? The implication was racism. It was God Damn ugly.

Epic fail. People who attend a play, a concert a ball-game pay to get a release from the world. It is the only reason actors, singers and athletes have the lifestyles which they enjoy. The cast of 'Hamilton' stole that not just from Pence but has put on alert, over 60 million Americans that they are not wanted in the theater.

Imagine  if the cast were, say, Pro-life and Hillary Rodham Clinton attended the show. Hillary who boasted of her pride in late term abortion liberties for women should be expected to be lambasted for helping to keep legal the genocide of those yet to be born? Ya, I didn't think so.

How about a Hebrew American, outspoken in his or her defense of Israel? If the star of 'Hamilton' were a Palestinian, that should give a credible path to that one to face public beratement? And of course this will graduate to worse things without pushback.

The audience who have nothing to do with Pence's administration were subjected to this politicizing of Broadway, having their time stolen by a radical attention addict looking to embarrass an elected official out of irrational fear. Some in the crowd seemed pleased but doubtfully all. I am taking my family to NYC this Christmas season at some point and was actually planning on seeing this play but will never pay to see it again in my lifetime, on cable, DVD rental, live or otherwise.

The Brownshirts have infiltrated yet another part of our culture, once deemed a safe haven from politics (except that time the Democrat actor whacked a beloved Republican President in Ford Theater) that is now clearly off limits to those who do not agree with these looney, classless liberals. Ah well, I'll find plenty of other things to do in the Big Apple. God, where is Aaron Burr when you need him?
