Fenway Park is increasing security against the threat of a car bomb attack. Concrete and steel barriers will be placed in front of gates B and C to prevent a vehicle from being driven into the park. The barriers are expected to be in-place by mid-August.

Bruins center Patrice Bergeron will not require surgery for a list of injuries he sustained during the Stanley Cup Finals. The 27-year old suffered a fractured rib, torn rib cartilage, a punctured left lung that later collapsed and a separated right shoulder over the course of the seriers with Chicago.

Pawtucket lost to Scranton Wilkes Barre 6 to 4. They wrap up the series tonight at 6:05pm.

The New Bedford Bay Sox beat Sanford 7 to 3. They are in Mystic, Ct tonight.
