A Busy Summer at Gnome Surf in Fall River [Townsquare Sunday]
Its been a busy summer for Chris Antao and the volunteers at Gnome Surf in Fall River. Gnome Surf is a non-profit agency that provides surfing instruction to youngsters and adults.
Among its clientele are youngsters diagnosed with autism and other disabilities, and adults recovering from addiction. Hundreds of youngsters are taught surfing skills during the summer months.
Chris Antao talks with Jim Phillips this week about the successes of the summer program, an upcoming fundraising campaign, and what happens at a surfing school during the winter.
