10 SouthCoast Signs This Year’s Super Bowl Halftime Show Was Made for You
One of the best memes making it's way around the interwebs this week is this one:
All I know is a lot of these Gen Z kids are about to find out who their parents really are as soon as the beat drops at the Super Bowl halftime show.
*Every parent in America simultaneously starts crip walkin' in the living room.*
It is absolutely hilarious because it is absolutely true.
It has led to a flood of brilliant memes pointing out that moms and dads are going to be having the times of their lives watching the show on Sunday.
With a lineup like Dr. Dre, Mary J. Blige, Snoop, Eminem and Kendrick Lamar, this show is guaranteed to be action packed. Truthfully, I'm not sure how you fit five huge names like this into what is normally a 12-to-15-minute performance. At most, each star will get three minutes each, unless of course they collaborate on each other's songs, which could be very cool.
I'd say this halftime show is going to hit the 40-something-year-olds the hardest. A 42-year-old was 12 years old when Snoop, Mary J, and Dre went mainstream. They were still teens when Eminem hit the scene about seven years later, and were still young enough to enjoy Kendrick Lamar.
Now, the game will be to see how much the 40-something-year-old parents can annoy our Gen Z kids by knowing all of the words to every song on the stage. How much can you get the kids to roll their eyes? That should prove to be a better game that the Patriots-less one we'll all be watching.
