The wait is now over in Taunton, as Tex Barry’s Coney Island Hot Dogs, which is located at 19 Main St., in Taunton, re-opened its doors today.

According to Raynham Wicked Local, the restaurant opened its doors in time for the city’s Lights On celebration, and the new owners even invited the longtime owner of the restaurant, Tony Medeiros, to fly in from Florida to see the re-opening.

Co-owner of the restauraunt, Michael Keene, stated that Tex Barry's Coney Island Hot Dogs has been remodeled as a 1950s-style diner. It has all new tile floors, kitchen equipment, refrigerator, and counter tops.

Keene's co-owner, Armen Tenkarian, stated that the original chili sauce recipe is still the same as it was.
