The Westport River Watershed Alliance was formed in 1976 with about 15 members. It has since grown to more than 2,000 members, with a mission to protect the Westport River and the coastal environs of Buzzards Bay, and educate area residents about the watershed, and its relationship to the environment in and around it. Executive Director Deborah Weaver visits Townsquare Sunday this week to discuss the history of the Watershed Alliance, and some of the projects now underway.
