WAREHAM — On Sunday, October 15th at approximately 10:30 pm, Wareham Police officers responded to Shenanigan’s Bar & Grill on Route 28 for a reported disturbance involving two males fighting in the parking lot.

Upon arrival, officers noticed an apparently intoxicated male in the parking lot who said he had been involved in a fight with another male who since left the scene. The male, identified as 47-year-old Wareham resident Danye Thomas, was placed into custody due to being intoxicated and having an outstanding arrest warrant.

During booking procedures at the police station, Thomas was found to be in possession of approximately 19 grams of cocaine packaged for sale, four Oxycontin pills, and 10 Oxycodone pills, along with $100 cash. As a result of the drugs found in his possession, Thomas has been charged with: possession with intent to distribute a Class B substance (Oxycontin), subsequent offense; possession with intent to distribute a Class B substance (oxycodone), subsequent offense; and trafficking cocaine over 18 grams.

Thomas was later checked at Tobey Hospital for injuries sustained during the disturbance and returned to Wareham Police headquarters. He was scheduled to be arraigned on the criminal charges Monday in Wareham District Court.
